
Lisa is the chief executive officer of Paradigm Personality Labs. She has been with Paradigm since 2008 and became a partner in 2015. Lisa systemically manages Paradigm’s functional areas and is driving a new strategic vision for the company. She believes that organizations thrive by leveraging the distinctive strengths and contributions of their people. Her goal is to help organizations and individuals align to create holistic environments that drive organization growth and bottom-line results.
Lisa came to Paradigm from a business development, marketing, education, and technology background in the financial markets. At both Thomson Reuters in Europe and at the Chicago Board of Trade (now CME Group), she was an integral participant in bringing two of the first major global electronic financial trading platforms to market. She leverages this experience, and experience as a leadership coach, with a decade of diving deep into the world of personality and assessments, to position Paradigm as a leader in the industry. The common threads in her career have been a passion for finding innovative solutions to meet market needs, analytical rigor, global perspective, and collaboration.
Lisa holds bachelor’s degrees in political science and international studies from Miami University of Ohio. She holds an MBA from the University of Chicago’s Booth School of Business and is a certified Presence-Based Leadership coach.
John Lipinski, PhD
Vice President, Research and Innovation
John is the Vice President of Research and Innovation at Paradigm, joining the team in 2019. He spearheads Paradigm’s HR analytics and data science initiatives. As part of this effort, he also leads new product development and product enhancement, psychometric validation of assessments, maintenance, and test construction.
Underlying this work is a deep focus on the complex behavioral dynamics of individuals, teams, and organizations. John’s goal is to foster optimal decision-making, deliver a competitive workforce advantage, and increase profitability by bringing the full power of data science and rigorous research to bear on human potential and workplace performance.
Prior to joining Paradigm, John served as Director of Client Management and Behavioral Social Determinant Lead in the healthcare analytics space. He previously directed numerous training assessment initiatives at the U.S. Army Research Institute. He also led the development of machine learning, natural language processing, and career guidance tools in HR Analytics for a Fortune 100 company.
John completed his Ph.D. in Cognitive Psychology at the University of Iowa followed by a three-year post-doctoral appointment at the Institute for Neural Computation at the Ruhr University in Bochum, Germany. He holds a B.A. from the University of Notre Dame.

Bo Boylan, PhD
Strategic Advisor

Robert “Bo” is the Strategic Advisor at Paradigm Personality Labs. Bo has conducted extensive research on the evaluation and use of psychometric assessment instruments in employee selection, development, and coaching applications.
He brings over 20 years of practical consulting expertise on topics ranging from strategy, to organizational revenue quality, to the use of assessment instruments to help organizations manage critical human capital management challenges and opportunities.
An admitted member to both the American Psychological Association (APA) and the Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology (SIOP), Bo earned his undergraduate degree in business from Virginia Tech, his MBA from Wake Forest University, and his Doctorate from North Carolina State University.
PIERCE J. HOWARD, PhD
Co-Founder and Consultant Emeritus
Pierce co-founded the company—originally called Howard Management Consulting—in 1986 with his partner, Jane Mitchell Howard. Throughout his career, Pierce has specialized in workplace applications for cognitive science, especially selection and assessment of employees. He manages the research division of Paradigm Personality Labs. A true student, teacher, and innovator, Pierce continually seeks the latest in workplace personality research, application, and insight.
Pierce is also a prolific writer.
Pierce holds a Ph.D. from UNC-Chapel Hill in education with a focus in curriculum and research. From 1996 to 2004, he taught both Organization Behavior and Problem Solving for Managers in the MBA program at Pfeiffer University in Charlotte and has also taught in the certificate program in organization development at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and in the Master of Science in Organization Development program at Queens University of Charlotte.

JANE MITCHELL HOWARD, MBA

Jane co-founded our company with Pierce Howard in 1989. Jane’s wealth of experience in all areas of workforce development and deep expertise in personality research has won over clients for three decades.
Jane is deeply committed to the Paradigm mission and focuses equally on all clients: from current to future, from domestic to international. She teaches almost all of Paradigm’s certification programs and works with clients in team building, leadership and management training, organization development consulting, and individual coaching.
She has made presentations to and worked with clients in government, finance, utilities, manufacturing, healthcare, retail, education, insurance, technology, construction, and not-for-profit organizations.
With Pierce Howard, she co-authored the first article about the Five-Factor Model of Personality ever to appear in the trade literature. As a Big Five expert, Jane has presented to global conferences, led organization consulting projects, and coached executives from all over the world.
